Sheffield factory reopens to drive essential production forward
PCL’s production facility in Sheffield has recommenced limited operations to support key sectors who remain open for essential work, including the automotive industry and emergency services.
Production was temporarily suspended following the Prime Minister’s announcement forbidding all but necessary travel. However, restricted production and logistical activities have resumed following further dialogue with government representatives. This will enable PCL to meet requirements where their products are needed, whilst also providing customer support.
The Sheffield site is now up and running subject to strict provisions and PCL has introduced adaptations to the production process, using skeleton staff who are being protected through meticulous measures including social distancing and the provision of appropriate PPE and cleaning equipment. PCL appoints new Export Sales Manager José Delgado
PCL is delighted to announce the appointment of a new Export Sales Manager for Distribution Sales covering Northern and Southern Europe and Ireland.
With extensive, worldwide experience within the automotive sector, José Delgado brings a wealth of industry experience and expertise in export sales management to the PCL team.
A Spanish national, José is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese and English, and lives with his family in Northampton, making him well-positioned to travel between PCL’s HQ in Sheffield and to customers and distributors abroad.

PCL’s Owen McCaughey Climbs the Career Ladder
Hard work has paid off for Owen McCaughey – for just under seven years after joining PCL’s customer service team as an office junior, he has been appointed Technical Sales Executive for UK and Ireland.
Owen has steadily worked his way up the career ladder since arriving aged just 17 at Sheffield-based PCL, the world-leading manufacturer of tyre inflation and compressed air products. His very first role involved answering phone calls for pricing, delivery dates, order tracking and general enquiries, along with order and data entry. These duties stood him in good stead to quickly progress to Customer Service Administrator, looking after the internal account management of European customers and prospects, whilst dealing with worldwide queries.
Through working closely with the sales team, attending exhibitions and undertaking technical product training, Owen gained invaluable experience. Two years later he replaced a retiring
